Lowndes Grove Wedding | Ashley + Beau | Charleston Wedding Photographer

Ashley and Beau opted for a modern east coast meets west coast inspired destination wedding in Charleston, South Carolina at the historic Lowndes Grove Estate. The grounds were decorated beautifully and their accents of champagne, pink and black gave a fun and unique spin on their color palette. The florist, Cote Designs, played with unique tropical flowers and tones to create a sophisticated and modern coastal design.

Ashley flew to New York with her mind set on a very specific Berta gown (which she scored by luck) paired with a cape stating it “completed the dress and gave it such a unique look–– I know my husband wasn’t expecting that and I loved the surprise aspect about it!” The groom, Beau Buckler, requested a cigar bar which was a fun experience for their out of town guests. They also had a lounge area by the bar which was the perfect spot to enjoy cocktails.

Paired with their signature drinks were napkins that shared fun facts about their relationship, a great conversation starter for guests! Another meaningful detail was the custom “always touching” sign–– a nod to the love language and physical affection shared between them that all of their friends and family adored.

The gorgeous Lowndes Grove brings a mix of new and old that makes it the perfect wedding destination. The architecture and furniture of the venue give it a classic elegance that made the wedding feel truly timeless. I could spend all day taking pictures of the venue itself and still miss many of the features that make this location one of a kind!

After an unforgettable first look on the front lawn of the estate, the wedding party made their way to the well manicured lawn overlooking the Ashley River. The beautiful river backdrop and scenic palms surrounding the ceremony could not have made for a better spot to tie the knot! From top to bottom the whole area is absolutely pristine. The surrounding city of Charleston melts away in the space to create a tranquil and soothing getaway that felt like it was made specially for Ashley and Beau. After the ceremony, the wedding party moved to a wonderfully decorated outdoor, tented terrace and celebrated their new status as husband and wife. Surrounded by friends and family, as well as an absolutely stunning venue, Ashley and Beau had a wedding that will inspire love for a lifetime. This wedding was an absolute delight to be a part of and I could not be more gracious that Ashley and Beau had me there to capture it!
