Welcome to the NEW site!!

Hey y’all – thank you so much for stopping by the new site!! I am excited to breathe life into this fresh new space and share my passion with you. While my last website and blog was fun, I have simply outgrown it. YAY for growth, right?! I have been craving a space where I can display my photography in a clean, simplistic fashion where my art can speak for itself. So, here it is!!

Just to spice things up for the big debut I thought it would be fun to do a mini bridal styled shoot to showcase the new brand. I wanted a shoot that would display my personal style : a mixture of natural elements using organic and earthy materials, while still incorporating some feminine touches by using a soft and romantic color palette. This is the first styled shoot I have planned and coordinated myself. Whew, I never imagined something so simple could be so much work, but boy was it worth it!! I couldn’t have pulled this look together without Lori of Swoon Designs. She has the most amazing and unique event rentals and an eye for design. Once we had our inspiration board we were able to bring some pretty amazing details together for the shoot. Lori found some fabulous gray linen napkins and coordinating handmade ceramic dinnerware that is to die for. Each plate is shaped differently, not perfectly circular. I love the organic feel they give to the place setting. I found some bone handled flatware through a local antique store owner and just knew they were a perfect fit for the style I was seeking. In addition to the beautiful table setting, the talented Kelsie Malie made 2 gorgeous hand-drawn menus for the bride and groom with the faintest touch of watercolor. LOVE!! (sidenote : she made my new logo, too – I’m obsessed with her work!!) Lori created the spools of yarn and brought the table and chairs which were absolutely superb and look so dreamy nestled atop the hillside. We ended up doing the florals ourselves, which was a fun challenge. I made the bouquet and Lori and Theary did the centerpiece. Considering it was our first stab at florals, I think I did ok! 😉 Once we had all the details pulled together all we needed was the attire. Of course, Sarah at  J.Andrew’s Bridal Boutique delivered the PERFECT dress for the shoot. I DIE. Dalton is sporting some threads from J.Crew Men – they always have fantastic essentials for the guys.

With the the help of some amazing vendors and models, my vision came to life! In the midst of a hail storm (yes, we literally got hailed on!) we made a little magic happen. . .
